This is a full time position at 36 hours per week located at our Grayslake Outpatient Clinic. The schedule for the position is Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6pm to 6:30am. The Registered Sleep Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Registered Sleep Technologist position performs all aspects of overnight polysomnograms, including CPAP/Bi-PAP titrations. A Registered Sleep Technologist must have achieved competency in the following areas: Independently prepare patients for and perform diagnostic polysomnograms. Independently perform CPAP and Bi-PAP titrations according to national standards and departmental guidelines. Includes ability to articulate indications for administration of humidification. Demonstrate knowledge of indications (and procedure for obtaining orders) for administration of oxygen. Demonstrate the ability to score and process sleep records. This position works closely with other members of the NTC/SDC staff, including physicians.
