The position is responsible for the overall clinical, technical, and administrative functions at the location regarding the PAP Therapy program. This includes maintaining the Bookings calendar, contacting patients for follow-up calls regarding equipment received, and explaining the clinical benefits of PAP therapy and the dangers of sleep apnea. The role also involves scheduling equipment setups, maintaining records and documentation, and ensuring that all pertinent demographic information is updated. Additionally, the position requires orientation and training of subordinate staff, effective communication, and collaboration with office staff for billing and documentation purposes.

  • Keep the Bookings calendar up to date.
  • Contact patients to complete follow-up calls for equipment received (CPAP, AutoPAP, BiPAP) and explain the clinical benefits of PAP therapy and dangers of sleep apnea.
  • Contact patients to schedule setups of equipment and explain the clinical benefits of PAP therapy and dangers of sleep apnea.
  • Maintain clinical contact with physicians, referred contacts, health care practitioners, and others involved in patient care.
  • Maintain records, charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, and preventative maintenance records.
  • Ensure all pertinent demographic information is updated regularly.
  • Orient and train subordinate or newly hired respiratory therapist staff service technicians.
  • Exhibit effective written and verbal communication.
  • Adhere to cost-containment policies and procedures.
  • Work with office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services.
  • Promote and market home respiratory therapist services to all referral sources.
  • Provide availability for patient contact and response to patient needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1-3 years of administrative and clinical experience in an office setting/medical field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
