Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must be available to work Monday, Friday, and Saturday
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • A knowledge of HACCP Process (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
  • Experience with email communications
  • Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Ability to withstand extreme hot/cold environments
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • This is an hourly, management support position.
  • Must be available to work holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Beef products knowledge is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Food Safety Technicians are responsible for monitoring carcasses and the processing aids used in the slaughter process.
  • This may include checking spray nozzle patterns, titrating organic acids, visual inspections of product, monitoring sanitary dressing, and speaking with production personnel.
  • Food Safety Technicians assist with sampling and perform pre-operational environmental inspections.
  • Other duties as assigned.
