About The Position

We are Lockheed Martin. Skunk Works is on the leading edge of manufacturing innovation. We continually look for ways to improve processes and performance while extracting cost by focusing on the areas of subsystems installation and integration. In this role, you will lead small teams focused on portions of the build to ensure production needs are met and discrete deliverables are completed ahead of need. You will conduct critical design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with manufacturing processes. Additionally, you will develop assembly plans and innovative solutions to address daily challenges, ensuring efficient production flow. You will create and maintain detailed manufacturing products and documentation, provide direct support on the production floor, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions. Utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), you will develop manufacturing processes and interpret drawings and model-based designs, translating them into actionable steps for manufacturability in the production environment. You will collaborate with team members to explore out-of-the-box thinking and contribute to product improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross-functionally with other disciplines.
  • Experience supporting vehicle systems installations and integration into a final product.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance after offer acceptance.
  • Willingness to stay in current role throughout the clearance processing period.

Nice To Haves

  • STEM degree preferred.
  • Active Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.
  • Experience in a liaison role supporting production activities.
  • Experience supporting final assembly and coordinating closeouts.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plans.
  • Proficient in 3D modelling software and PLM programs.
