The Skunk Works is looking for a software engineer to be part of a team building air vehicle systems. The candidate will use existing and developing skills in a variety of software programming languages and tools, such as C, C++, Python, XML, Visual Studio, Eclipse, and VxWorks. Candidate may build software for air vehicle systems, ground systems, and/or modeling and simulation systems that support production and research and development.

  • Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience programming in at least one computer programming language (e.g. C, C++, Python, or Java)
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • This position requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 6 years to be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience with the following:
  • Development of real-time systems or use of real-time operating systems (RTOS), such as Wind River VxWorks or Green Hills Integrity
  • The software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
  • Integrating hardware and software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between software, hardware, and systems engineering.
  • Experience working in DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Gitlab/Github
  • Experience working on an agile software team
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience with MBSE (Tools like Cameo, modeling standards such as UML, UAF, SysML, etc.)
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
  • Strong decision making and judgment
  • Oral and written communication skills
