Requirements

  • Meets QMHA minimum qualification - 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral sciences field; or
  • (b) A combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training or experience; and (c) Demonstrate the competency necessary to communicate effectively; understand mental health assessment, treatment and service terminology and apply these concepts; provide psychosocial skills development; implement interventions as assigned on an individual plan of care; and provide behavior management and case management duties.

Responsibilities

  • Builds rapport with clients (children and adolescents), providing daily support, structure, activities, group, and safety.
  • Provide skills training to clients to help them learn to manage their mental health symptoms in clients' home.
  • Models, coaches, and counsel's clients regarding appropriate hygiene, and social and interpersonal interactions.
  • Have a valid Oregon driver's license that meets agency driving requirements and the ability to meet client and families in the community
