About The Position

Skills Trainer-In Home Services Builds rapport with clients (children and adolescents), providing daily support, structure, activities, group, and safety. Provide skills training to clients to help them learn to manage their mental health symptoms in the school and will sometimes include homes and the community at large Models, coaches, and counsel's clients regarding appropriate hygiene, and social and interpersonal interactions. Acts as liaison between school systems and facilitate the integration of the client’s treatment goals within school/community setting Have a valid Oregon driver's license that meets agency driving requirements and the ability to meet client and families in the community Meets QMHA minimum qualification - (b) A combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training or experience; and (c) Demonstrate the competency necessary to communicate effectively; understand mental health assessment, treatment and service terminology and apply these concepts; provide psychosocial skills development; implement interventions as assigned on an individual plan of care; and provide behavior management and case management duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral sciences field; or
  • A combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training or experience; and (c) Demonstrate the competency necessary to communicate effectively; understand mental health assessment, treatment and service terminology and apply these concepts; provide psychosocial skills development; implement interventions as assigned on an individual plan of care; and provide behavior management and case management duties.
