The Maintenance and Operations Department is seeking (1) Skilled Trades Worker to join the already awesome team taking the Building Maintenance Department to the next level of excellence! A flexible work environment Generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, tuition assistance, retirement, etc. A knowledge-sharing organization that works collaboratively with diverse partners Professional development opportunity and mentorship A rapidly growing center within an academic setting HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO The ideal candidate will perform advanced-level duties assisting skilled trades workers in maintenance and renovation tasks, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other building trades work. In addition to supporting the department's Skilled Trades Worker will also: Will perform semi-skilled tasks (in various trades). Clean work areas, sweep, collect trash, assist in demolition activities, and move supplies and equipment. Performs minor operation, maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC, heating equipment, and plumbing. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and systems assigned to HVAC and Heating. Transports raw materials and semi-finished products or supplies between departments or buildings. Performs minor welding repairs; operates power tools. Performs light carpentry work, such as building bookshelves, bookcases, etc. Mixes and pours concrete for foundations and fixtures. Installs, repairs, and services motors, pumps, and fans. Operates heavy machinery, such as forklifts, tractors, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.
