The Kiawah Island Club is searching for a Skilled Trades Technician/Handyman. We're looking for a multifaceted employee with experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and electrical. This employee will perform typical maintenance tasks to support the entire facility including all 4 clubhouses, administration offices, restaurants, fitness facility, and more.
Requirements
- 3 years of related experience in a maintenance environment
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical (assist the facilities electrician), machine repair, plant layout, painting, and janitorial
- Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above
Responsibilities
- General carpentry (cabinets, molding, trim, shelving, etc.)
- Installation/repair of siding, windows, doors, gutters, etc.
- Masonry including tile and grout work
- Paint interiors and exteriors or buildings with a brush, roller, or spray gun
- Maintenance and occasion install of HVAC systems around the Club
- Diagnose plumbing problems and perform repairs
- Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures
- Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes
