About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter and Texture expert to join our team at Lynx Communications. This role involves a variety of tasks related to removing undesirable popcorn ceilings, creating level 5 flat plastering, and completing the painting of surfaces, including cabinets and trim work. The ideal candidate will possess seasoned skills with various painting techniques and a proactive attitude, capable of working effectively in both team and solo environments.

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a background check and observed drug test
• Must be able to speak English fluently (Bilingual is a plus)

Nice To Haves

• Strong understanding of color theory and its application in painting projects is preferred
• Experience working in hotels/motels with knowledge of safety practices
• Experience with removing popcorn ceilings
• Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques for efficient application
• Ability to perform plastering tasks and minor carpentry work as needed
• Competence in drywall finishing techniques
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high-quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
• Apply paint using various methods including brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment.
• Perform drywall repair, ensuring smooth finishes.
• Collaborate with construction supervisor to maintain high-quality standards on projects.
• Conduct maintenance tasks as required, including plastering and minor repairs.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after use.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites.
