Staff Development Coordinator - RN Job Summary: Here at BridgePoint the Staff Development Coordinator - RN coordinates and conducts orientation of all new facility hires and coordinates the educational needs of the facility. Functions as an educator and facilitator for all nursing staff. The Staff Development Coordinator - RN position reports to the Director of Nursing and is an integral part of the management team. The key to the Staff Development Coordinator - RN role is the identification of staff learning needs followed by the implementation and evaluation of programs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • Current registered nurse license in the District of Columbia.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Maintain current provider CPR certification throughout employment.
  • Minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care.
  • One year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct orientation of all new facility hires.
  • Coordinate the educational needs of the facility.
  • Function as an educator and facilitator for all nursing staff.
  • Identify staff learning needs and implement educational programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
