About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and motivated RN to join our growing team in Williamsville, NY. About us: Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community unlike any you’ve ever seen. Our CARF-accredited skilled nursing facility proudly features 50 private rooms and a focus on person-centered care. RN position details: Our RN shift schedule is as follows: days (7am - 3pm), evenings (3pm - 11pm), and nights (11pm - 7am). We are hiring for the following job statuses: Full Time (5 days/week), Regular Part Time (3 days/week), Part Time (2 days/week), and Part Time Every Other Weekend (1 day/week). Please note that all Full Time positions are eligible for a recruitment and retention bonus of up to $10,000.

Requirements

  • Must have credentials as an RN with a current New York State license.
  • Must be CPR and first aid certified.
  • Must have verbal and written English skills.

Responsibilities

  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary.
  • Greet newly admitted residents upon admission and escort them to their rooms.
  • Make rounds with physicians as necessary.
  • Consult with the resident, their family, and the resident’s physician when planning the resident’s care, treatment, and rehab.
  • Visit residents on a daily basis in order to observe and evaluate each resident’s physical and emotional status.
  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
  • Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
  • Review MAR for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of physician orders, and adherence to stop order policies.
  • Participate in the development of a written plan of care (preliminary and comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems/needs of the resident, indicates care to be given and goals to be accomplished, and states which professional service is responsible for each element of care.
  • Ensure that all personnel involved in providing care to the resident are aware of the resident’s care plan.
