Skilled Nursing Activity Coordinator, CNA - Skilled Nursing - Full Time - Days
About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Administrator and the direct supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse, the Skilled Nursing Activity Coordinator, CNA (Activity Coordinator) provides a variety of patient care activities across life span and accommodative services for assigned patients. The Activity Coordinator develops, coordinates and manages activities for Skilled Nursing Center patients/ residents. These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
- Previous experience working with aged or handicapped individuals.
- Certification in the State of Texas as a Nursing Assistant.
- Basic Life support Certification through the American heart Association.
- Certified Activities Director or currently enrolled in state approved activities director course.
- Knowledge of basic clinical skills to deliver direct patient care to an individual or group of patients including but not limited to vital signs and activities of daily living.
- Accepts assigned responsibilities as an accountable member of the health care team.
- Proficient with data entry/computer skills for care documentation.
- Excellent communication & organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in an accredited healthcare facility preferred.
