The Backbone of a Well-Oiled Campus Our Skilled Maintenance Technicians are the behind-the-scenes heroes who keep everything running smoothly. With a sharp eye and skilled hands, you will perform routine maintenance, timely repairs, and preventive inspections to ensure our buildings, equipment, and utility systems stay in top shape. Requirements

  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • Hands-On Maintenance Experience: Minimum of three years of maintenance experience preferred – you’re comfortable handling tools and tackling routine repairs.
  • Clear Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration with team members and residents.
  • English Proficiency: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is essential for safety, documentation, and clear instruction.
  • Multi-Skilled Know-How: Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing – you bring versatility to every job you take on.
  • Safety-Focused: Strict adherence to universal precautions, including the proper use of personal protective equipment, is required due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Ability to Complete Essential Functions: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and complete the physical components of the position, including walking/standing for the majority of your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Critical Systems: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on key systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and communication networks.
  • Conduct Thorough Inspections: Routinely inspect buildings and equipment using established checklists and perform timely repairs as needed.
  • Respond with Urgency: Address system-generated work orders and resident requests promptly, prioritizing issues related to safety and comfort.
  • Support Small-Scale Projects: Assist with light carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work as assigned to keep the campus running smoothly.
  • Organize Supplies & Equipment: Help ensure tools and materials are properly stored and maintained for efficiency and safety.
  • Contribute to Seasonal Readiness: Perform snow removal duties and assist with staff transport during inclement weather.
  • Work Safely, Always: Follow all safety protocols and complete tasks in a safe, compliant, and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to Standards: Ensure all work meets regulatory guidelines and Londonderry Village policies and procedures.
  • Report Concerns Promptly: Notify the Maintenance Director of any unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or situations requiring specialized attention.
  • Be a Team Player: Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as assigned, providing critical support when needed.
  • Take Initiative: Willingly perform other duties as assigned to support the broader goals of the department.
