Job Description: Conducting quality checks – metal detectors, Xray Machines, Moisture Samples Troubleshooting problems with equipment and products. Communication with employees when conducting changeovers, line issues etc. Learning the process of start-up and shut down Adaptability – Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment. Read/understand daily production schedule at the start of every shift. Understand the basic functions of the scaling units to ensure they are working properly. Responsible for upholding the KHMS standards detailed in the plant's KHMS training program. HAACP/Weight control certified.

Requirements

  • Self-starter
  • Multitask driven
  • Strong communication skills
  • Use simple mathematics and computer skills
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
  • Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc. preferred.
  • Attention to details when conducting quality checks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to work in all areas of the facility including hot and cold areas and be exposed to wet and humid conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs. or more.
  • Must have excellent vision, distant and peripheral, with the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually high, and ear protection is required.
  • May work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confining places.
  • Applicants must be willing to work any shift, weekends and holidays, maintain work area in an orderly and sanitary condition, perform any and all duties assigned, and perform all duties in compliance with Federal, State and local codes and laws, plant rules and practices of safety, conduct, sanitation, good housekeeping and quality.
