About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Skilled Machine Operator - 2nd Shift to join our team in Luck, Wisconsin. In this role, you will set-up, operate and verify the quality of work on assigned moulder machine(s) in a manner which will consistently meet production standards and qualifications. Hourly rate: $22.83 to $34.26 per hour, depending on experience. Potential for pay increase up to $1 if meeting or exceeding expectations at 90 day performance review. The level for each Skilled Machine Operator is determined by management based on the ability to train others and number of machines the operator can run while meeting production standards and quality requirements. New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment! Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 3:30 pm - 2:00 am. Overtime potential on Fridays. We Offer You! Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met. Set-Up, operate, and verify work on assigned machine. Keeps the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards. Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes production reports and other documentation. Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers. What You Bring: High school education or equivalent; course work in machine tool technology or a related area preferred. At least 1 year of applicable experience operating woodworking equipment, machine programming or set-up. Ability to read prints and measuring instruments. Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration. Manual finger dexterity skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Displays a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.
