As a Skilled Laborer/Groundman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various telecom projects. You take pride in doing the job right, maintaining high standards, and stepping up to hands-on challenges in the field. In this role, you will: Perform manual labor tasks including digging trenches, unloading materials, pulling and placing heavy cable, and preparing job sites using hand tools (shovels, rakes, picks, etc.) Work on outdoor utility construction sites in varying weather conditions Load, transport, and assist with heavy equipment to and from job sites Support the build and maintenance of aerial and underground cable systems Assist in troubleshooting and resolving field issues as they arise Learn and safely operate a variety of tools and construction equipment Will travel up to 50% within MN and WI

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working outdoors, preferably in a utilities/construction environment
  • Team-oriented and willing to get in the field alongside your crew
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently on a consistent basis
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record past 3 years (CDL preferred)
  • Interest in growing within telecom construction (fiber splicing, coax, drilling, etc.)
  • Open to travel (up to 50% within MN/WI) and working overtime consistently
  • Looking for long-term opportunities with consistent work and growth potential

Responsibilities
