Summary: The Skilled Laborer Civil is responsible for performing construction maintenance tasks of a skilled nature: finishing concrete, laying bricks and blocks, and operating vehicles and equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Must have 2+years of experience working in heavy highway construction
Complete understanding of OSHA and company safety requirements
Ability to measure accurately and read specifications
Good communication skills
Knowledge of the materials and equipment used in general street maintenance and construction work
Knowledge of the methods and practices of pouring and finishing concrete
Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening

Nice To Haves

Clean driving record is a plus
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 preferred
Flagger License desired

Responsibilities

Perform skilled and semi-skilled manual labor on civil construction projects
Assist with roadway, utility, drainage, excavation, grading, and concrete operations
Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and efficiently
Support heavy equipment operators and skilled trades as directed
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
Set up, maintain, and break down work zones and traffic control devices as required
Perform basic concrete work including forming, pouring, and finishing support
Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor instructions
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends
