About The Position

Skilled Fabricator Fabricators at Northeast Precast are tasked with interpreting project plans and blueprints to ascertain the required materials and processes. Their primary responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and assembling materials such as metal, plastic, or composites. They utilize a variety of tools and machines, such as welders, shears, press brakes, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery. Ensuring that the components are crafted accurately and are structurally sound is paramount. Furthermore, fabricators are responsible for maintaining the equipment they operate, performing regular checks to guarantee operational efficiency and safety. Job Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will use their expertise in fabrication to enhance manufacturing processes and maintain our reputation for excellence in product development. Your work will involve reading and interpreting blueprints, operating heavy machinery, and constructing high-quality products. A good Attitude is a must!

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and materials science.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Keen attention to detail and a result-driven approach.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in engineering or manufacture is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to lead a team to accomplish a project Safely and accurately.
  • Must be able to set up and run GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, GTAW Oxy Fuel Cutting Handheld Plasma/Gouging Operation
  • Must be able to lift 10 – 30 LB Weldments
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and engineering plans to construct high-quality parts and assemblies.
  • Setting up and operating tools and equipment necessary for the fabrication process.
  • Measuring, marking, cutting, bending, and assembling materials to create the final product.
  • Inspecting and testing finished products to ensure they conform to specifications.
  • Aligning, fitting, and assembling component parts using hand tools and fixtures.
  • Repairing faulty components and products in line with defects highlighted during inspection.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and safety regulations.
  • Inspect and test finished products for functionality and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist in the enhancement of fabrication methods, seeking efficiency and reduction of costs.
  • Communicate well with other departments and team members
