RTX is a provider of SkillBridge Fellowship opportunities for transitioning service members to gain an in-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense business from some of the most respected leaders and engineers in the industry. SkillBridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. To be eligible for a SkillBridge, you must meet the following requirements: Must be on Active-Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces Must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29 Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 12 years working with the Department of Defense, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience
  • 10+ years of experience working directly with the US Army, particularly within Fires and/or Combat Arms organizations, operations, budgeting, and/or Army acquisition processes
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​
  • Secret - Current

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cross site and enterprise level planning and implementation practices
  • Understanding Raytheon’s Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Capture practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with capture management, project and/or program management
  • Experience (10+ years) with domestic DoD customers

Responsibilities

  • Understand and align our strategies with the customer’s organizational processes, goals, and mission sets
  • Business Capture Strategy and Pipeline Management: Develop and implement creative and effective business capture strategies tailored to support the unique requirements and goals of the Army Fires portfolio while identifying and building a realistic bookings pipeline and business growth profile
  • Cross-business support within the LADS organization and support to other Raytheon Strategic Business Units and RTX businesses in developing and achieving their Army Fires objectives
  • Manage multiple captures simultaneously, ensuring all capture gates and planned deliverables are on time, within scope, and on budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams located in various geographic locations.
  • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate collaboration and consensus across different teams and departments.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of programs that align with Army Fires community of stakeholders on current and future needs
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on extensive industry knowledge and customer requirements
