About The Position

This SkillBridge fellowship is intended for transitioning service members who have already engaged in discussions with the AV team and are exploring participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program. The fellowship provides hands-on exposure to a civilian professional environment and is designed to support a smooth transition from military service to the private sector. SkillBridge Fellows are embedded with AV teams and contribute to real projects while developing skills aligned with their post-service career goals. Specific duties and focus areas may vary based on the fellow’s background, interests, and organizational needs and may be further defined during onboarding.

Requirements

• This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
• A “U.S. person” according to the ITAR definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee.
• Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
• ITAR U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) or a person approved for an export license from the appropriate governing agency.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned teams with day-to-day project, technical, or operational activities
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and process support as appropriate to the role
• Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and professional development activities
• Conduct research, data gathering, or analysis to support team objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a professional civilian work
