About The Position

As a Skill Builder, at our Addictions and Recovery Center for 7am - 7pm, rotating shifts, you will be integral in providing behavioral therapy, intensive rehabilitation, wellness education and post-treatment support to individuals battling substance use disorders. Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent with 2 years behavioral healthcare experience or equivalent college coursework toward a human services or health related degree required; Associate Degree preferred
• Valid drivers license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in behavioral health or social services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Counsel, monitor, and support individuals experiencing substance use and mental illness disorders
• Evaluate, prepare, and implement case management plans
• Organize and conduct client skills training and education groups
• Assist with maintaining 24/7 staff coverage, including working other shifts as needed
• Assess and monitor residents' behaviors and intervene as appropriate
• Crisis intervention
• Prepare and maintain written case records, reports and forms, including case follow-up and closing
• Maintain Meridian Health Services standards, policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, state and federal laws and with ethical standards of profession
