About The Position

Provide high-quality snowboard and ski instruction to guests of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements

• Strong snowboarding or skiing ability
• Enjoyment of and aptitude for teaching beginners through advanced levels
• Creativity and patience, especially when working with children
• High School or Equivalent Education
• Be at least 16 years of age or older
• Attend Ski and Ride training sessions
• Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and browser applications; basic internet navigation
• Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written)
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must work well in a team
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions
• Must be available to work holidays and weekends
• Must be able to lift, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently

Nice To Haves

• Professional Ski Instructors of America certification is preferred
• Experience working with guests of all ages
• Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring
• Previous ski/snowboard instructor experience
• Knowledge of local area/resort

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Assess students’ ability levels and tailor instruction accordingly
• Instruct individuals and groups in skiing or snowboarding techniques
• Reinforce and encourage skill development through guided practice
• Teach and emphasize safety, control, and mountain awareness
• Maintain lesson schedule (50-minute sessions)
• Collaborate with ski shop and resort staff to ensure seamless guest experiences
