About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Repair Shop. Provides maintenance, adjustments, repairs and testing on our rental and customer’s personal equipment. Must also be able to perform general administration duties including opening and closing, cash handling and machinery maintenance.

Requirements

• Basic record-keeping and report-writing.
• The ability to obtain current certification from all major binding companies.
• The ability to handle a hectic day and heavy workload.
• Must have the knowledge and communication skills to answer questions and provide customers with information on all aspects of skis, boots, bindings and snowboards.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Prior knowledge of ski or resort industries is a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• The ability to remain productive while working independently.

Responsibilities

• Ability to operate a POS system, along with making daily deposits and being responsible for a daily bank.
• Responsible for opening and closing duties of the repair shop.
• Responsible for mounting, adjusting, testing, grinding, p-texing, sharpening and waxing rental fleet as well as guest’s skis and snowboards.
• Responsible for maintaining shop machinery.
• Assist with repair of rental equipment.
• Assist with mounting new rental skis.
• Assist with pre-season testing of rental equipment.
• Responsible for accurately testing and documenting equipment involved in incidents.
• Adhere to department uniform and grooming standards.
• Report to work on-time for all scheduled shifts.
• Must follow policies and procedures outlined in the Wintergreen Handbook.
• Must be able to take on additional assignments and tasks assigned by the manager.
• Represent Wintergreen Resort in a positive, professional manner.
• Keep the shop and the surrounding area clean at all times.
• Associate will be required to obtain certification from all major binding companies.
