Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Six Sigma Black Belt or Continuous Improvement Specialist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, including experience leading teams.
  • Proven expertise in applying Lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and methodologies within a production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master Black Belt Certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
  • Lean Certification and formal training.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and data management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategies across Ford North American manufacturing plants.
  • Mentor and guide Plant Leadership, Black Belts, Green Belts, and Continuous Improvement Specialists in Lean, Six Sigma, and Ford Production System problem-solving methodologies and project execution.
  • Develop and deliver Six Sigma Black and Green Belt certification courses, and instruct on Ford Production System Standards and Lean Principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) to drive waste elimination.
  • Support problem-solving teams and oversee Lean Maturity Model gap closure plans at Ford facilities and suppliers.
  • Promote continuous improvement and facilitate the sharing of Six Sigma knowledge and best practices across business units.
