About The Position

Chubb is seeking a highly skilled and analytical SIU Business Data Analyst to join our Special Investigations Unit (SIU). This role is responsible for leveraging advanced analytics and business acumen to uncover actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. The analyst will collaborate closely with SIU leadership and cross-functional teams to develop success metrics, monitor performance, and communicate outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a proven ability to aggregate and interpret complex data, and a talent for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex findings.
  • Project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Expertise in data mining, database management, and aggregating data from multiple systems.
  • Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical groups across all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record in managing and manipulating complex, multidimensional data sets to extract meaningful insights.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, coupled with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, including the ability to communicate recommendations through data-driven reports and visualizations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, fostering a culture of shared success and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced analytics to analyze customer claims data, identify emerging risk patterns, and collaborate with SIU Leadership on strategies to address these risks.
  • Perform thorough analyses to quantify findings, recognize opportunities and strengths, and influence key business decisions in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with the SIU Manager and Leadership Team to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for fraud detection, monitor progress, and regularly report results to leadership.
  • Convey analysis and recommendations through clear presentations and written reports tailored to various audiences.
  • Employ data visualization techniques, including interactive dashboards, to highlight trends in case resolution times, resource allocation, and overall SIU Business Unit performance.
  • Identify and report significant data trends, such as seasonal spikes in claims, and recommend resource adjustments to optimize efficiency and support continuous improvement.
  • Deliver ad hoc reports and timely, relevant data analyses in response to senior leadership inquiries, including detailed reviews of claim volumes and business unit health.
  • Proactively investigate and resolve anomalies or outliers within data sets, conducting root cause analysis to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
