About The Position

The Sitter position is part of the Float Pool department at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. This role involves sitting with and observing patients and their surrounding environment to promote safety and prevent possible injuries. The One to One Patient Observer also assists the Registered Nurse with non-nursing tasks within their scope of training and experience. The schedule for this role is nights, 7:00pm-7:30am, with 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains responsibility to sit with and observe the patient and his/her surrounding environment to promote safety and prevent possible injuries.
• Assists the Registered Nurse in non-nursing tasks within the scope of training and experience.
