About The Position

The principal duty of all employees is to assist in the mission of the Church in the Diocese of Fort Worth. General Position Summary: The Nursery Sitter provides nursery care for the children while the parents are attending Mass. Also be requested to provide nursery care for other parish activities. Responsible for the care and safety of children ages 18 months through age 4.

Requirements

• Active, practicing member of the Catholic Church in good standing.
• Experience in working with children.
• Successful completion of Safe Environment including background checks.
• First aide certified and CPR certified.
• Ability to communicate well
• Ability to work with people of all ages.
• The ability to work with and coordinate activities with staff and volunteers

Responsibilities

• Works with the nursery coordinator to assure the children are in a safe, clean environment while their parents attend Mass.
• Responsible for diapering children and assisting children with toilet use.
• Communicates and interacts with parents, children, and parish staff.
• Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.
