About The Position

Looking to assist in a healthcare environment with an amazing team and organization? You have found it! PRN; shift times vary upon patient/departmental needs. The Sitter is responsible for performing direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse. The sitter functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility of the sitter is to provide patient safety, watching the patient and providing basic patient cares such as nutrition feeding and hydration. The sitter supports patient safety and patient satisfaction by staying with the patient at all times unless relieved by another care team member and effectively communicating with all team members.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Provide patient safety by watching the patient at all times.
• Assist with basic patient cares such as nutrition feeding and hydration.
• Communicate effectively with all team members.
