Peraton requires a Release Manager to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order. This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC. The Release Manager develops, implements, updates, and monitors RM processes for integrating approved changes. They develop and use a holistic approach in creating RM processes and methodologies, ensuring that both technical and non-technical aspects of a release are considered in designing, engineering, and integrating all releases. The role involves planning and performing the release of approved software, hardware, policy, and procedural changes, as well as performing RM activities related to preparing new or reconfigured software and hardware for release. The Release Manager adheres to RM policies, procedures, processes, and regulations for implementing approved changes to the enterprise, including software and hardware. They socialize technology changes impacting end users, focusing on benefits and expectations through the use of various technologies. Collaboration with other support teams affected by RM activities is essential, including Change Management, CM, Problem Management, CSD, production operations, and other pertinent IT support groups relating to release training for system administrators, release content, schedule, and approval. The Release Manager develops and updates release implementation plans to cover Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) training operations teams and the CSD, tests the transition of the release implementation plans to the production environment, and ensures that each release and release packages can be tracked, installed, verified, and uninstalled or backed out if required. They create an approach for maintaining controlled OT&E environments, schedule the build and test activities for hardware and software, assign contractor resources, roles, and responsibilities to perform key activities, and track and document bug resolution efforts and trends, while highlighting positive and negative trends for future release practices. A strong understanding of Agile Methodologies and familiarity with the Risk Management Framework is required.
