About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 11 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is seeking a Site Work HOURLY CREW FOREMAN to lead a construction crew; grading work to include large earth, sewer, storm, and utility pipe install based out of Gallatin, TN . This is a hands-on position. The successful candidate for this role will be experienced and have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, and be a self-starter. Wages based on experience.

Requirements

• Must have a dedication to safe work practices.
• Able to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat, and humidity.
• Able to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.

Nice To Haves

• Prior use or knowledge of HCSS construction software preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for coaching and modeling safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Provide leadership and take ownership of scheduling, coordinating, and supervising site works crew.
• General utility or pipe construction and labor experience; storm water, sewer, grading and utilities.
• Control vehicle flow around the worksite.
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management.
• Self-motivated individual must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
• Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include site clean-up, using a rake/shovel, flagging, and other duties as assigned.
• Ability to learn quickly.
