About The Position

The Site-Work Foreman is a working field leader responsible for directing and actively performing heavy civil site-work within an active port terminal and waterfront environment. This position oversees daily crew activities involving grading, drainage, underground utilities, bulkhead tie-ins, dock-side infrastructure, and terminal yard improvements. This is a hands-on role. The Foreman works alongside the crew while coordinating closely with terminal operations to ensure construction activities do not disrupt vessel loading/unloading, cargo movement, or heavy equipment traffic.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of heavy civil construction experience.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of field crew leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and safety regulations
  • Experience operating heavy equipment in high-traffic industrial areas.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Background check and pre-employment screening required.
  • Must obtain and maintain TWIC credential.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience working in or around port terminals.
