About The Position

The Site Technician position at Konecranes involves performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various customer locations. Requirements

• Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
• Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
• Experience with 3 phase motor troubleshooting (2 years required).
• Experience with VFD (2 years required).
• Experience with 480-Volt systems (3 years required).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cranes (preferred).
• Some electronic experience (not necessary).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at varied customer locations.
• Be available 'on call' as part of service office rotation and provide afterhours service.
• Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to determine causes for equipment malfunctions.
• Perform a general post-repair audit before completion of work, documenting that all required safety features are functional.
• Document findings and make corrective recommendations to the customer, including a written 'Safety Notification' of any observed safety concerns.
• Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety-related issues and discuss recommendations to improve their material handling applications.
• Complete and provide proper electronic documentation using established company digital tools, obtaining customer signatures and acceptance.
• Produce sales leads during service calls and report to the service office, following established guidelines.
• Complete service reports and other required documents accurately and promptly.
• Maintain all company-issued equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe working order.
