About The Position

As we continue to drive the solar energy transition in New Jersey, we are seeking a Site Survey / Field Operator to join our team in Elizabeth, NJ. This role is essential to ensuring accurate site assessments and supporting the seamless planning and installation of solar projects. Key responsibilities include: Conducting Site Assessment Reviews (SAR) to evaluate project locations for solar installations Capturing comprehensive photos and videos of site conditions using mobile devices Preparing detailed written reports documenting site and roofing conditions Assessing roofing and structural integrity to support project feasibility Performing permit runs and assisting with documentation submissions for regulatory compliance Coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate project planning and execution Maintaining organized records of site data and reports This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the growth of solar energy in the region, working hands-on in the field and collaborating with a dedicated team focused on delivering long-term value to clients.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of roofing experience
Experience preparing written field reports based on site conditions
Proven ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile device to capture photos, videos, and complete field reporting
Valid driver’s license
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to travel to job sites across New Jersey for site surveys and permit runs
Reliable transportation for field travel
Availability to work occasional Saturday mornings
