Overview Provide overall management and supervision of the CDC Infant, Toddler and Preschool program. Supervises and organizes a safe, high quality YMCA program. Responsibilities ● Manage, coordinate and maintain an infant, toddler and preschool site. ● Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff. Conduct regular staff meetings and organize trainings. ● Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergency procedures. ● Maintain required child/staff ratio. May provide direct supervision of a group of children as necessary. ● Implement child care programs in accordance with YMCA Child Care Standards, Community Care Licensing, CDSS guidelines and Title 5 and Title 22. ● Maintain safety of site and children by implementing the health care plan, risk management and emergency procedures in conformity with YMCA and Community Care Licensing policies. ● Maintain accurate records according to YMCA and Community Care Licensing standards, including attendance records, USDA forms, immunization records, registrations and sign-in/sign-out records. ● Demonstrate the "Character Counts" values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all your dealings with members, guests, volunteers and staff. ● Coordinate and maintain positive public relations and clear communications with parents, staff, volunteers, and school personnel. Coordinate schedule with the YMCA and school calendar. ● Prepare and publish a monthly parent newsletter. ● Ensure that supplies are maintained and purchased within the operating budget. ● Market and promote the program and ensure full capacity. ● Maintain the daily cleanliness and safety of the site. ● Works with Sac Central Summer at the Y Director as a partnership of programs. ● Create new program opportunities. ● Operate programs within budget and keep up to date with parent payments and aging reports. ● All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
