About The Position

Timmy's Home, operated in collaboration with Cardea Health, is a new interim housing program providing intensive housing-focused services to medically complex and behaviorally vulnerable unhoused participants. Based in Oakland, participants will receive on-site supportive services including housing navigation, caregiver support, meals, and linkages delivered using a trauma-informed, and participant-centered approach. Under the supervision of Program Leadership, the Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day housing navigation and service coordination activities at Timmy’s Home, an interim housing site serving individuals experiencing homelessness. This role provides direct supervision to Housing Navigators, ensures high-quality housing search and navigation services, and supports staff performance, data quality, and outcomes. The Site Supervisor works closely with Cardea Health (site operator) and other community partners to coordinate services, track goals and metrics, and ensure participants receive timely, effective support toward permanent housing. While this position does not carry full program or contract management authority, it plays a critical role in staff supervision, workflow coordination, and continuous quality improvement at the site level.

Requirements

  • High school required. Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field a plus.
  • Ability to complete CPR/First Aid Training.
  • 1 year experience providing direct support services to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health, substance abuse or other social issues strongly preferred.
  • 1 year experience in real estate, property management or housing support, preferred. Relevant internship and volunteer experience will be considered. Prior Customer service experience and administrative experience will be considered.
  • Commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness. Understanding of and sensitivity to issues related to homeless, low income, mentally disabled, and chemically dependent persons.
  • Proficient in use of computer and Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and TEAMS). Experience with Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) a plus.
  • Ability to interact in a supportive and professional manner with staff and clients of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to provide good customer service. Communicate effectively and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and crisis intervention skills with a can do and flexible attitude. Ability to work well under high pressure.
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct, attitude, and appearance at all times.
  • This position requires frequent driving. A valid California driver license, reliable personal vehicle, current personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain criminal records clearance.
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see clearly.
  • May be occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • May be required to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support to Housing Navigators assigned to Timmy’s Home.
  • Support hiring activities including interviewing, onboarding, training, and mentoring new staff, in collaboration with Program Leadership.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, case consultations, and performance feedback to ensure staff meet role expectations and service standards.
  • Support staff development by identifying training needs and reinforcing best practices in housing navigation, documentation, and participant engagement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance during emergencies or critical incidents at the site.
  • Oversee daily housing navigation activities, including housing search, landlord engagement, lease review, and move-in coordination.
  • Coordinate closely with Cardea Health and on-site partners to ensure integrated service delivery and smooth site operations.
  • Support effective client flow, caseload balance, and prioritization of participants with urgent housing needs.
  • Facilitate case conferencing and team meetings focused on housing progress, barriers, and problem solving.
  • Provide landlord-participant mediation support as needed.
  • Monitor site-level goals, performance metrics, and outcomes related to housing placements, documentation timeliness, and service quality.
  • Ensure accurate and timely HMIS data entry, client enrollment, and maintenance of complete electronic case files.
  • Support the use of client trackers and dashboards to monitor housing progress and service delivery.
  • Assist Program Leadership with preparation of site-level data, summaries, and reports as requested.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Cardea Health, housing providers, landlords, housing authorities, and other community partners.
  • Support the development and maintenance of landlord and housing resource databases, including unit availability and placement history.
  • Stay informed on local housing market trends to support effective housing search strategies.
  • Review staff documentation and HMIS entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program requirements.
  • Ensure staff complete required trainings, including HMIS Privacy and Security and other assigned trainings.
  • Complete and approve timesheets accurately and on time.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and site-related coordination meetings as assigned.
  • Work within the framework of organizational policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
