About The Position

We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a retail commercial center. Ideal candidates will have good communication/previous janitorial, custodian, or related experience, ability to work with customers/vendors, able to perform quality control checks, scheduling, and admin. Must have a valid driver's license, have a dependable vehicle, communicate by email, timekeeping, utilize the phone for incoming, outgoing calls, and text messages. Requirements

  • Must pass HBM prescreen check.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license and a reliable vehicle required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Must have good public relations skills and communication.
  • Applicants must perform basic manual labor, painting, stain wood, clean common areas, press, push, pull, frequently lift 40lbs, carry a minimum of 25lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, walk, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk up and down the stairs and use a ladder climb up and down and stand throughout their shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and understand English with team and property managers
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and communicate effectively with team and property manager
  • Managing and supervising a janitorial team requires a combination of leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Review and submit employee time cards in a timely manner
  • Pickup supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the building
  • Clean restrooms, parking lot, walk path, and restock supplies
  • Remove and dispose trash to designated areas
  • Use of a pressure wash machine
  • Use of a leaf blower
  • Push trash bins as needed
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Utilize a smartphone to upload information online, communicate by email, respond to phone calls and text messages
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Report safety issues or building problems (i.e. burnt light bulbs, etc.)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
