About The Position

Provide regional oversight for the implementation, operation and evaluation of the SSVF program, serving Veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field.
  • 3+ years of case management or program management experience; 5+ years preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience; case management supervision preferred. Supervision of remote employees preferred.
  • 3+ years in a customer service focused environment. Experience with homeless, low income, veterans & their families a strong plus.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.
  • LMSW, LBSW, LMFT preferred. Drivers License with clear record required.
  • Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. Up to 30% travel within a multi-county region.
  • Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates; including deployment within 24 hours to disaster locations for as long as 2 – 4 weeks. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs.
  • Preferential hiring consideration given to Veterans or military spouses.

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with staff to review caseloads and stay updated on current issues. Ensure staff receive timely program information and updates. Provide Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance oversight for client files. Conduct ongoing program evaluation and offer recommendations to the Program Director to support continuous improvement. Prepare and submit monthly program reports.
  • Manage overall office coordination, including client flow, Veteran concerns, and crisis response, ensuring the site operates smoothly and clients receive timely support. Provide guidance to staff during high‑pressure situations and maintain a calm, organized environment that supports effective service delivery
  • Coordinate with Financial Assistance Coordinator for payment to third parties.
  • Manage and monitor daily site operations, including staff time and attendance, communication of office needs, and reporting to the Program Director.
  • Review all intakes, initial case managements, exits, recertifications, and Temporary Financial Assistance requests prior to submission to ensure program compliance. Follow up with staff to ensure all deadlines are met. Maintain accurate tracking of client data for reporting purposes. Monitor expenditures within the assigned area to ensure all spending remains within the approved budget and is allowable under program guidelines.
  • Be active and network at monthly Veteran community groups. Provide presentation at various community groups within the greater metropolitan and surrounding area. Promote the success and reputation of the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program.
