About The Position

Promote school readiness by enhancing children's social, cognitive, and overall development through educational, health, nutritional, and social services. Comply with Head Start Program Performance Standards, the Head Start Act, 5-Year Grant, MiLeap-Child Care Licensing Bureau, USDA-CACFP Requirements, Great Start Readiness Implementation Manual, NMCAA Personnel Policies, and other relevant guidelines. Follow agency processes, policies, procedures, and guidance. Adhere to the Child Protection Law, Staff and Volunteer Mandated Reporting Policy, NMCAA's Early Childhood Guidance Policy and Code of Conduct. Serve as a Licensee Designee, overseeing center management to ensuring child welfare through proper supervision and care. Hire and train staff following policies and procedures. Promote and support a positive and collaborative work environment. Monitor staff performance, facilitate team meetings, complete employee performance reviews, and support staff in meeting professional development requirements. Monitor classrooms to ensure a safe, healthy, and organized environment. Assist staff in developing and implementing emergency procedures. Monitor Active Supervision and safe environment practices. Report incidents and accidents as required. Collaborate with the NMCAA Business Office to monitor and track allotments and approve staff timesheets to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with the Facilities Coordinator for preventative and facility maintenance compliance. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to ensure compliance with transportation procedures. Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, encouraging their involvement in their child's education. Promote NMCAA programs within communities. Partner with community partners/organizations to enhance services for children and families. Utilize platforms used by NMCAA programs such as Podio, E-3, MiRegistry, GOLD, SharePoint, etc. Utilize data dashboards and participate in data meetings. Collaborate with management to update policies and procedures. Support all NMCAA classrooms by subbing if needed. Complete required duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in early childhood education , human services administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
