About The Position

As a Site Supervisor/Catering Assistant, you will support the Dining Services in delivering exceptional service for all events. Your responsibilities include assisting with event set-ups, maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring food safety standards, and providing outstanding customer service. You will work closely with the Catering Supervisor and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events and meal periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of food or customer service supervisor experience/training in a mid-high volume food service facility or restaurant.
  • Creative problem-solver who brings passion, enthusiasm and fresh ideas.
  • Proven track record of being organized, dependable and self-motivated.
  • Team builder and ability to successfully manage and develop a team.
  • Able to work independently and have the capacity to manage up and down.
  • Able to climb stairs and lift up 50 lbs.
  • Interest in and committed to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to help students enhance their minds, bodies and happiness.
  • Must be able to work in a college university.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all dining hall allergy/nutrition labeling and signage for meal periods
  • Maintain Front of House cleaning/appearance of all customer areas in a professional, clean manner at all times.
  • Ensure all Front of House stocking/cleaning is completed, and guests maintain access to all items at all times.
  • Ensure digital signage is correct and up to date for the current meal period.
  • Assist in the preparation and set-up of catering events, including arranging tables, linens, and service stations.
  • Support food and beverage service during events, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in catering areas, including proper breakdown and cleaning after events.
  • Follow all sanitation and food safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Help with packing, transporting, and organizing catering supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to clients and guests.
  • Assist with inventory checks and replenishment of catering supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support catering operations.
