At Air Products, our purpose is to bring people together to reimagine what’s possible, collaborate and innovate solutions to the world’s most significant energy and environmental sustainability challenges. Grow with us as we embark on building tomorrow together by being the safest, most diverse, and most profitable industrial gas company in the world. Reimagine What’s Possible We have an immediate opening for a Site Supervisor / Plant Operator that is responsible for our Boise ID, Onsite Facility. You will have primary responsibility for three cryogenic Air Separation Units as well as a liquid hydrogen system. Air Products pioneered the “on-site” concept of producing and selling industrial gases in 1940. That ground-breaking idea not only launched our company, it launched the industrial gas industry we know today. Since then, we have built a reputation for our innovative culture, operational excellence, and dedication to safety and the environment. Today, we are delivering some of the largest and most complex projects in the history of Air Products and are fully engaged in finding solutions to the world's environmental and sustainability challenges. We help our customers become more productive, energy efficient, and sustainable. With a global presence spanning our operations in 50 countries, we serve customers across a variety of industries (over 30!) from food and beverage to medical, energy, and transportation. We supply a unique portfolio of atmospheric and process gases, equipment, and services. We own and operate a diverse portfolio of industrial gas plants, develop innovative technology, applications, and equipment solutions, and internally perform the engineering, procurement, and construction of our own plants. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of day-to-day plant operations, including customer and business interface, safety and environmental compliance, and maintenance budgeting. To be successful, you will need to gain a comprehensive understanding of the site’s operations and maintenance activities. Effective communication and strong organizational skills are essential. You will also learn the operation of the plant. You will drive the site towards operational excellence through clear communication, effective workload management, and respectful interaction with support teams. The ability to understand the broader picture and consider the implications of decisions is crucial.
