Site Safety Technician - New Albany, OH
About The Position
This position provides safety oversight for precast erection activities on an active construction project in New Albany, OH. The Site Safety Technician will support critical operations involving lift planning, rigging oversight, and fall protection compliance. The role requires close coordination with field crews and site leadership to help ensure safe execution of crane picks, precast installation, and elevated work activities. This is a hands-on field safety role best suited for someone with prior experience supporting structural erection work in fast-paced construction environments.
Requirements
- OSHA 30, completed within the last 5 years
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience with precast, tilt-up, or steel erection
- Strong knowledge of crane picks, rigging, and fall protection
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite safety oversight during precast erection activities
- Monitor lift planning and rigging operations for compliance and safe execution
- Support fall protection enforcement and safe work practices at elevation
- Conduct routine site safety observations and identify hazards proactively
- Work closely with supervisors and crews to maintain compliance with site safety requirements
