Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project safety.
  • Knowledge and experience working as safety personnel for NYC Transit projects
  • Reliable transportation required for travel to various sites as required.
  • Safety Training and Certifications required.
  • CHST or CSP is required .
  • OSHA 30 required.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant safety requirements including OSHA, NYC DOB, NYC DEP, DOT, local, state and federal safety regulations.
  • Strong written and oral skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of contractor safety operations on NYCT station rehabilitation projects
  • Candidate must be comfortable and motivated to work the day shift, night shift and weekend shifts when necessary. Typical Hours of operation: 7am – 3:30pm.
  • Conduct safety inspections at various project sites, develop and submit a report at the end of each inspection.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing Health and Safety procedures and programs.
  • Conduct safety related training.
  • Provide compliance assistance to projects.
  • Ensure all safety requirements of the Building Code and OSHA are being met.
