Requirements

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project safety.
Knowledge and experience working as safety personnel for NYC Transit projects
Reliable transportation required for travel to various sites as required.
Safety Training and Certifications required.
CHST or CSP is required .
OSHA 30 required.
Extensive knowledge of relevant safety requirements including OSHA, NYC DOB, NYC DEP, DOT, local, state and federal safety regulations.
Strong written and oral skills.

Responsibilities

Oversight of contractor safety operations on NYCT station rehabilitation projects
Candidate must be comfortable and motivated to work the day shift, night shift and weekend shifts when necessary. Typical Hours of operation: 7am – 3:30pm.
Conduct safety inspections at various project sites, develop and submit a report at the end of each inspection.
Assist in developing and reviewing Health and Safety procedures and programs.
Conduct safety related training.
Provide compliance assistance to projects.
Ensure all safety requirements of the Building Code and OSHA are being met.
