As a Construction Safety Manager on Utility Scale EPC Solar Projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel involved in the construction process. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a safe work environment and implementing effective safety programs to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures specific to utility scale EPC solar projects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety measures into project plans and schedules.
  • Provide safety training and orientation to all personnel, including subcontractors and vendors, to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction safety on utility scale EPC solar projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to test their effectiveness.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction safety management, preferably in utility scale EPC solar projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies to improve safety performance.
  • Certification in relevant safety programs such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, First Aid/CPR, and Fall Protection is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
