SITE SAFETY MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY: The Site Safety Manager is a field-based position that is responsible for safety and health-related to construction activities during a 6-week plant outage . The position will serve as a representative of the company in a professional manner, providing oversight of construction activities, monitoring contractor compliance to the safety program and applicable regulatory and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to ethics, integrity, and a high level of accountability for the success of the safety program and the project(s) as a whole. The position requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of construction, its phases, processes, management, and leadership. KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES, & ABILITIES Exceptional ability to develop positive relationships and lead through influence with internal stakeholders and contractor management personnel. Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with all parties. Thorough technical expertise and demonstrated understanding of applicable regulations, laws, industry standards, and best practices. Subject matter expert on topics related to occupation health and safety, construction safety, and related topics. Self-starter who creates an environment of ownership and accountability.
