About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Site Reliability Engineering Manager in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of a critical SaaS platform. You will balance immediate operational needs—improving developer support, smoothing production workflows, and maintaining platform stability—with long-term strategic goals, defining a roadmap for resilient, forward-looking architecture. The role involves mentoring engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, and partnering with technical leaders to drive platform improvements. You will also play a key role in technical decision-making, project planning, and delivery accountability while maintaining a strong focus on customer impact. This position is fully remote, allowing you to make a meaningful contribution in a flexible, high-growth engineering environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of engineering management experience, including leadership of SRE or infrastructure teams in SaaS environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on SRE experience designing, implementing, and operating reliable, scalable infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud platforms, technologies, and programming languages relevant to the organization.
  • Proven ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term strategic planning.
  • Strong technical depth, capable of reviewing proposals, mentoring engineers, and influencing architectural decisions.
  • Experience building and nurturing distributed, high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving mindset, energized by solving customer-impacting challenges under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the SRE team, managing delivery, reliability, and operational excellence for critical services.
  • Partner with engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and architecturally sound infrastructure.
  • Establish accountability for project delivery timelines while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and empathetic work environment.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Hire, onboard, and grow talent to meet business objectives and support high-performing teams.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Managers and technical leaders to align on strategy, execution, and platform improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in monitoring, deployment, logging, and QA practices to ensure production readiness and resilience.
