ROLE SUMMARY: As the Site Reliability Engineer you will coordinate activities within the team and apply knowledge of the technology domain to support with the development of technology products. You will be the enablers for Cloud migration working with foundation and migration teams from the inception of the projects performing architectural reviews, operational acceptable testing and configuring Datadog dashboards and metrics.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Object Oriented programming languages such as: Java, C#, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Hands on Experience with one of the following cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience on DevOps concepts and way of working.
  • Experience with algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience in Observability practices with logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Understanding of identity and access management, and application security.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing, tuning, and conducting ongoing administration of data layer and infrastructures
  • Conduct ongoing administration of data layer, application and infrastructure including proposing application systems changes, better uses and improvements
  • Improving the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Providing support services before they launch through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Leading availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning of critical services, on building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and on building automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions.
  • Maintaining services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
  • Handling sustainable incident response.
  • Scaling systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, evolving evolve systems by advocating for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Writing highly optimised and accurate code for LSEG products and solutions.
  • Proactively continues to build and apply relevant domain knowledge that may relate to workflows, data pipelines, business policies, configurations and constraints.
  • Supporting essential processes while ensuring high quality standards are met.
