The Role Our new Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) II will responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable systems and applications with a focus on automation, monitoring, and incident response to ensure high system availability and performance. This role will collaborate with development teams, and employ infrastructure as code principles. This role combines software development and system administration skills to enhance overall system reliability and efficiency. Our SRE will contribute to capacity planning, on-call support, and documentation efforts within the organization.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 4-6 years In a site reliability, dev ops, or systems engineering position
  • Intermediate knowledge of cloud service operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Infrastructure as code
  • Intermediate knowledge of containers and orchestration platforms
  • Intermediate knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cloud native environments
  • Problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go). The ability to write and understand code for automating tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale the technology infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new features and services.
  • Deliver automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, management. and incident response.
  • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution activities, including root cause analysis, to minimize downtime and prevent future occurrences.
  • Coach more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
