The Site Quality Specialist with a focus on materials management will be responsible for supporting the construction and commissioning (on-site installation) team to ensure excellent execution. They will be a reference point for quality and excellence culture on site. They will ensure compliance with all engineering technical requirements during erection and commissioning. Job description The first mobilization planned will be in Baie-Comeau for an extended period (1 to 3 years). Thereafter, other mobilizations on the Côte-Nord are to be expected. This job is of the 21/7 type, so a period of continuous work followed by a rest period. In this site-based role, the selected person’s main responsibility will be to focus on managing parts as they arrive on site. Among the critical tasks are: Promote a quality mindset on site. Implement quality processes on site, including but not limited to: Control and distribution of documents Storage and preservation of materials Traceability of materials Support the preparation of documentation intended to protect GE in the event of third‑party claims. Collect, verify, and organize quality records. Manage all nonconformities detected on site related to received parts. Support the proper recording of nonconformities as they occur. Monitor and record the execution of corrective (curative) actions. Support root cause analysis of nonconformities detected on site. Lead or support the implementation of corrective actions on site. Lead or support cross‑functional process improvements on site. Maintain up to date inventory.
