The establishment of security controls and procedures is essential for the protection of employees, the preservation of assets, and the effective enforcement of rules and regulations. The Raytheon Site Protective Services Supervisor serves as the operational shift Supervisor for the Raytheon proprietary Security personnel at USAF Plant 44 and other sites in Tucson, Arizona. In this capacity, the Security Supervisor reports directly to the Tucson Site Protective Services Manager. This position is responsible for leading daily operations of an armed security response team which includes, but is not limited to, the response to various calls for service to include infractions/violations of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Work is accomplished within enterprise and organizational policies and procedures, but judgment and initiative are frequently exercised to ensure alignment with the requirements of a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) facility. Strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential to your success. This position will also require that you have the ability to undergo defensive tactics, advanced firearms, and tactical response training of moderate to high intensity as well as have the ability to successfully complete and maintain firearms qualification requirements. This position will require shift work.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising an armed response force (security, law enforcement and/or military).
  • Experience in the development and/or delivery of security or law enforcement related training programs.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Leadership experience to include organization change & transformation.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters' degree with a major in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field.
  • 10 years of supervisorial experience in security, law enforcement and/or military.
  • Experience leading a team with a Community Service approach to security or law enforcement operations.
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance.
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) or other related industry certifications.
  • Experience creating a team environment and rallying a team around a common mission, vision and goals.
  • The ability to work effectively and comfortably with internal/external customers of all levels.
  • Knowledge of physical and electronic security protocols and equipment/systems.
  • Completion of baseline National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training Program courses and curriculum.
  • Knowledge of contract security guard force management.
  • Knowledge of the NISPOM, JAFAN, and ICD as applicable.
  • Instructor level certifications in security or law enforcement related fields.
  • Ability to obtain a LEOSA Firearms Certification.

Responsibilities

  • On-scene incident command for physical security, disaster management, and emergency response services involving the safeguarding of personnel, property, and facilities, until properly relieved.
  • Lead Raytheon Tucson site protection operations: i.e., employee and visitor entry and exit control, vehicle and foot patrols within the facility, off-hour supplemental patrols for security violations, crime and security violation preliminary investigations.
  • Daily supervision and work assignments of the designated shift of armed security professionals.
  • Assign posts, determine rotations, and provide performance feedback.
  • Recommend employees for employment, awards, discipline, termination, and/or retention.
  • Plan, schedule, organize and direct work.
  • Monitor the overall security posture of company facilities, including the performance and utilization of contract security personnel.
  • Use our Records Management System to manage and assign investigations.
  • Lead armed response officers working 24/7/365 schedules.
